As the city of Cincinnati is fighting against the invisible enemy of drugs, it is important to understand the context in which the opioid epidemic is expanding, and try to detect different the dynamics of drug use into the city of Cincinnati. The question here is what is the correlation between the spatial components of the city and the expansion of the use of drugs? What are the socio-economic factors driving the epidemic in each of the neighborhoods of the city? The city of Cincinnati is located in an area of 3 neighboring states- Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky- where the use of the drug is one of the highest of the country. The phenomenon is amplified by the highest mobility between these states. This research will focus on the 52 neighborhoods of the city of Cincinnati, its urban configuration, its demographics, and accessibility in order to bring a solution to the opioid outbreak from an urban

planning perspective.
