PROPERTY VALUE
River trails have been proved to have positive impacts on nearby property value. In order to calculate potential total increased property value, we make use of value from the existing study “The Impact of the Little Miami Scenic Trail on Single Family Residential Property Values”.
The formula used for calculating increased property value:
v=(5280-d)*7.05
v- Property value
d- The shortest distance between the center of each property and creek.
By adding up the increased value of each property, we get total increased property value—$54,937,000
